For Mask of the Betrayer, I find the campaign actually gets easier as you go along since the crafting system is egregiously over-generous and the campaign is probably winnable even if you never leveled up once. In the NWN2 OC the vast majority of your XP comes from the main storyline so you won't be seriously under-leveled in the end-game. It should be entirely possible to win that battle at level 15, so long as you have a way to survive that one nasty implosion spell that gets fired off. Just curious however: can you break your character in NWN 2 like you could in NWN? What I mean, is, I completed every quest in act 1, 3, and 4 up to the fight with "A" (not sure how to do spoiler tags) and only missed a few sidequests in act 2 (that I couldn't find, or didn't fit my alignment) but ended up only being level 15 at that fight, and therefore, with no way to gain any more XP, and being too low level to succeed in that fight, essentially stuck. I'd be more inclined to say 1-18.įor SoU, I find that I almost always finish as a level 14, so I'd be willing to call that number as the end-point of that campaign and the start-point of HotU. The highest level I've ever finished NWN1 OC on a chapter 1-4 playthrough is 19, the lowest 16, so I do take a bit of issue with the suggestion of a 1-15 range. For whatever reason, the vast majority of XP in SoZ is granted from side-quest completion and random encounters. Just getting over level 20 starts to break everything in terms of difficulty and. I'm sure there are some modules out there, but I wouldn't really expect many good ones. HotU is set up under the assumption you are importing from SoU, which is why new characters immediately start at a higher level. I've heard other people went epic before hitting the boss. Both the OC and SoU go to around level 17 or so. I myself finished it at level 14 on my first playthrough (even though I'd explored every single accessible overworld location). However, due to the way its XP rewards are structured people reported finishing it at very different levels. Storm of Zehir begins at level 4.5 (it'll boost a new character to level 4 and half-fill your XP bar) and is intended to end at level 20. Not that you need to spellcasters are pretty much gods by this point and the extraordinarily generous crafting system means a warrior-type character should have ludicrously powerful weapons at his disposal. I find for MotB that unless you do some grinding that you're unlikely to hit level 30. On my first playthrough I hit level 20 as a drow, which is level 22 equivalent. The NWN2 OC does go level 1 to 20, but I know for a fact it's possible to overshoot by a fairly substantial margin.
